Research and Training at the Sackler Lefcourt Center are aimed at increasing knowledge about early child development and parenting. The Sackler Lefcourt Center is affiliated with the Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research Parent Infant Program, the Cornell University Weill Medical College Sackler Institute Infant Psychiatry Program and the Columbia University Sackler Institute Parent-Infant Project. Students in post-graduate training programs work at the Center to learn about normal development and parenting, and the range of developmental difficulties and parenting concerns that all parents and children face. Parents and children enrolled in Center programs are invited to participate in Center research. Participation is optional.
